Nigerian Cryptocurrency Startup, KoinWa Launches Blockchain and AI Education Platform.

The Nigerian cryptocurrency company, KoinWa has introduced a new web3 education platform called EduBlok. The company aims to equip college and university students with valuable skills on Edublok.

KoinWa, known for allowing users to buy and sell cryptocurrencies, was selected as one of 25 African fintech startups for the Amazon Web Services (AWS) FinTech Africa Accelerator earlier this year.

EduBlok, its educational branch, offers training in blockchain technology and assists other educational institutions in creating blockchain and artificial intelligence courses.

The CEO, Hakeem Disu, is not only an author but also a trained teacher who wrote the e-book “How blockchain is solving real-life African problems.”

According to Disu, even though blockchain is a significant tech trend, it’s not part of Nigeria’s educational curriculum. EduBlok seeks to fix this by developing academic programs, and textbooks, and providing education in blockchain and entrepreneurship.

Funded by KoinWa, EduBlok has already made a positive impact on more than 10,000 students in underserved communities at universities and has distributed 15,000 e-books.
