Ed Partners Africa in Kenya Gains $10 Million DFC Loan Guarantee to Boost Affordable Education Access

Kenya’s Ed Partners Africa, a financial institution focused on helping affordable private schools, has secured a US$10 million loan guarantee from the United States’ Development Finance Corporation (DFC).

This funding aims to support the expansion of accessible education in Kenya. Ed Partners, founded in 2018, provides loans for crucial education components like infrastructure and technology.

The startup, led by CEO Amos Mwangi, has already impacted over 100,000 students across 350 schools. The DFC’s investment aligns with its commitment to improving education access, especially for underserved populations.

Once disbursed, the loan will enable Ed Partners to reach more schools and students, contributing to long-term regional development.
