Nigerian Startup Teams Up with Africa GreenTec to Help Senegalese Women Farmers

A Nigerian startup called UfarmX is teaming up with Africa GreenTec to help women farmers in Senegal.

UfarmX uses a special kind of technology called blockchain to help small farmers who don’t have access to banks. Their platform helps farmers get good quality supplies, like seeds and fertiliser, even if they don’t have money upfront.

It also helps them sell their crops after harvest and gives them important information to make their farms better.

Last November, UfarmX started working in Senegal, and now they’re partnering with Africa GreenTec. This company is well-known for providing eco-friendly energy solutions.

Together, they want to help women farmers in Senegal deal with the problems caused by climate change. They plan to start a test project. In this project, women farmers can get special storage containers powered by solar energy at lower prices.

Usually, farmers have to buy these containers outright, which is expensive. But with this new plan, it’s more affordable for them. This helps the farmers and also protects the environment from climate change.

The CEO of UfarmX, Alexander Zanders, says they understand how important it is to work together to fight climate change in farming. He says this partnership with Africa GreenTec shows their dedication to new ideas, sustainability, and helping communities. They want to protect people’s jobs, save nature, and reduce the bad effects of climate change.

Africa GreenTec’s solar-powered solutions are better for the environment than traditional energy sources.

They give communities clean and reliable electricity while also reducing pollution. By combining these eco-friendly energy solutions with UfarmX’s farming platform, they hope to make farming in Senegal better and stronger.

The managing director of Africa GreenTec, Anna Ndiaye, says this partnership is about helping women farmers in Senegal in many ways.

They want to deal with climate change and help farmers sell their crops better. Together, they’re creating special solutions to make farming better for everyone involved.
