Irish Tech Challenge 2024 Opens Applications to South African Startups

Calling all South African startups! 🚀 Want to boost your tech game? Well, here’s your chance! The Irish Tech Challenge South Africa is on the hunt for some awesome partnerships between South African and Irish startups.

This challenge is a collaboration between the Embassy of Ireland in South Africa, the Department of Science and Innovation (DSI), and the Technology Innovation Agency.

Plus, they’ve got some cool partners onboard like Wits University’s Tshimologong Digital Precinct in South Africa and Dogpatch Labs in Ireland.

The 2024 Irish Tech Challenge wants to supercharge the growth of South African-owned tech startups that are all about making the world a better place.

They’re all about those United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Think clean and green tech, healthcare, education, and water sanitation and hygiene. Yup, those are the hot topics.

And here’s the sweet deal: seven lucky startups will get EUR10,000 (that’s about US$11,000) each in grant funding. But wait, there’s more!

They’ll also score a 10-day trip to Ireland, where they’ll rub elbows with global customers and partners, soak up Ireland’s top tech know-how, and get a boost in visibility thanks to support from both Irish and South African governments.

Applications are open until April 26th. Don’t miss out on this golden opportunity! 🌟 Apply now!
