Bolt has introduced an Accelerator Program for drivers who believe they can turn Nigeria’s mobility issues into a profitable venture. This program will be executed in collaboration with the Nest Innovation Park (The Nest).
The Bolt Accelerator Program will provide the top ten business ideas at the end of the program with seed funding of €2000 each. As well as in-program access to Bolt Academy and a Business Mentorship Bootcamp, the point where The Nest plays its role.
Prospective applicants must be Bolt drivers who are currently utilising the Bolt platform and must be residents of Nigeria. Interested drivers must submit a business idea that is both viable and relevant to the tech-mobility sector. Bolt is looking for sustainable ideas that can create people-centric cities and inclusive mobility systems.
Applicants who are selected for the program will go through an online training initiative to enhance business development skills and support future career growth. The online training will be delivered on Coursera followed by in-person sessions conducted by PM4Success International.
Successful applicants should prepare to dedicate off-peak hours. In order not to affect the business activities of both the platform owners and the drivers. This program will last over a period of two months for both the intensive hybrid training and mentoring session.
This initiative reflects Bolt’s dedication to accelerating innovation and entrepreneurial spirit across Africa. The Bolt Accelerator Program is targeted at redefining drivers as entrepreneurs who can contribute to the economic growth of Nigeria.
