Fez Delivery, a Nigerian logistics startup, has introduced Fez Safe Lockers, a network of automated lockers aiming to revolutionise last-mile delivery in Nigeria.
Established in 2018, Fez Delivery connects businesses and markets through its last-mile delivery platform.
After securing seed funding last year and introducing a line of e-bikes, the startup has now launched automated lockers. These lockers provide a secure, convenient, and cost-effective solution for sending and receiving parcels, addressing challenges associated with cash-on-delivery transactions that are prevalent in Nigeria.
Fez Safe Lockers aim to tackle the issue of lost or stolen packages, which is a significant concern with cash-on-delivery transactions. Positioned strategically in high-traffic areas like filling stations, these lockers offer a secure option for online shoppers. They eliminate the need for cash exchanges during delivery, reducing the risk of theft.
Featuring user-friendly touchscreens and unique access codes, the lockers simplify the process of dropping off and retrieving packages. Additionally, real-time monitoring, CCTV surveillance, and secure locations ensure the safety of packages.
Seun Alley, CEO and co-founder of Fez Delivery, expressed the company’s commitment to more than just delivering packages, emphasising the transformational impact of Fez Safe Lockers on Nigeria’s logistics.
The lockers are positioned as an investment in the country’s future, modernising logistics, promoting sustainability, and creating a delivery ecosystem that benefits everyone.
