MDaaS Global, a Nigerian healthtech startup, recently secured $3 million in funding to expand its tech-driven healthcare services across Nigeria and Africa.
The investment was led by Lagos-based Aruwa Capital Management and Newton Partners, with support from Ventures Platform.
The startup plans to use part of the funds to grow its healthcare network, aiming to establish clinics in every Nigerian state.
Founded in 2017 by Oluwasoga Oni, Opeyemi Ologun, and Genevieve Oni, MDaaS offers various health services, including imaging, cardiac services, and lab tests at its diagnostic centres.
Recognizing the challenges of accessing quality healthcare in Nigeria, MDaaS focuses on preventive care and diagnostics, leveraging technology to address these issues. The company believes the new funding will aid in advancing its mission.
MDaaS provides services through its SentinelX app, initially designed for individuals but now catering to businesses. CEO Oni emphasised the success of the app in serving corporations, offering employee screenings and other essential services.
With plans to scale its proprietary technology platform, BeaconOS, MDaaS aims to digitise patient records and streamline healthcare processes, ultimately benefiting millions of underserved Nigerians.
Currently operating 17 diagnostic centres across 10 states, MDaaS intends to expand further, aiming to build 23 additional centres.
The company collaborates with various clinical partners, HMOs, and organisations, demonstrating its commitment to improving healthcare access in Nigeria.
