Flutterwave’s COO Steps Down to Pursue Passion

Bode Abifarin, who served as the chief operating officer (COO) at Flutterwave, has resigned from her position to focus on empowering future generations of entrepreneurs.

After more than 15 years at KPMG Nigeria, Abifarin joined Flutterwave in 2018. During her time there, she played a crucial role in the company’s growth, witnessing its ascent to unicorn status despite facing controversies in 2022.

Abifarin expressed her excitement about her new journey, stating her intention to teach, inspire, and nurture the next wave of global businesses.

She recently joined the board of Women in Tech® Nigeria, showcasing her commitment to supporting women in the tech industry.

Flutterwave’s founder and CEO, Olugbenga Agboola, bid farewell to Abifarin with a mix of joy, pride, and wistfulness, expressing eagerness to collaborate with her again in the future.

Abifarin’s departure follows the recent exit of the company’s former CFO, Oneal Bhambani, in November.
