Kenyan and Nigerian Startups Secure Funding and Mentorship in Global Blockchain Accelerator

Exciting news for startups from Kenya and Nigeria! They’re part of a select group chosen for the CV Labs accelerator program, which offers up to $135,000 in funding, mentorship, and tailored growth strategies.

CV Labs, part of CV VC, a global blockchain investor based in Switzerland, runs this program. They’re active in Switzerland, Liechtenstein, South Africa, Germany, and Portugal, fostering a global community through various activities.

This batch of the accelerator program features eight ventures from different industries, including traditional sectors and web3 infrastructure. It’s not tied to any one blockchain, and participants benefit from advice from ten top protocols.

Among the chosen startups is Kenya’s Shamba Records, offering a tool for real-time data collection to help farmers access credit more easily.

Nigeria’s Jamit, a decentralised podcast hosting platform is the other African Startup. Jamit’s platform had features like cloud storage, global reach, and rewards for creators and listeners through unique NFT experiences.

The remaining companies come from the United States, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Poland, and Germany.

Bastian Wetzel, head of acceleration at CV VC AG, highlighted the tailored support each startup receives, including access to mentors and investors, assistance with entity structuring, and help with product roadmap development.

It’s an excellent opportunity for these startups to grow and thrive in the blockchain space.
