Polymorph, a top South African software development consultancy, has been acquired by Octoco, a fast-growing tech group based in Stellenbosch.
Polymorph excels in taking a product idea from early research and design all the way to full implementation. For 12 years, it has been the go-to partner for many of South Africa’s top brands.
Octoco, founded in 2020 by G-J van Rooyen after resolving a dispute with investors at his previous startup Custos, offers a wide range of engineering services. These include software development, hardware engineering, and CTO support. Octoco also invests in tech startups, such as Henlo Coffee, which recently introduced its machines at Vida e Cafe.
Now, Polymorph is part of the Octoco Group. This deal makes Polymorph a sister company to Octoco Consulting within the larger group, both based in Techno Park, Stellenbosch.
“We think Polymorph’s approach to software product design is exceptional and we are very excited to welcome them to the group,” said Heinrich de Lange, Octoco CEO. “They strongly complement our technology consulting company’s services, and the more product-focused firms in our group stand to benefit from their extensive design expertise.”
